Which trailer suits you based on your boat's length

The boat's length determines the trailer's length, the number of axles, the minimum GVM, and the required license. These are the four most common situations in the catalog:

6-meter boat trailer (length up to 6.3 m)

Suitable for motorboats with a rigid hull or RIBs up to 6.3 m. Catalog configurations with tandem axles, GVM up to 3,500 kg, payload 2,000-2,300 kg. Compatible with commercial vehicles and SUVs with a B license, as long as the combined GVM of car + trailer does not exceed 3,500 kg. For a large 6m boat with a combined GVM above this, consider B96 or B+E. Reference model: D (6.3 m, 2 axles, 2,225 kg payload).

7-meter boat trailer (length 7-7.8 m)

The most demanded length in the catalog. Tandem axle configurations up to 3,500 kg GVM with a payload between 2,150 kg (model I) and 2,920 kg (model H). Triple axles appear in reinforced versions with payloads of 2,780-2,860 kg for fully loaded boats. For 7.8 m, there are configurations of 2,420 kg (model J), 2,780 kg (model N), 2,820 kg (model M), and 2,860 kg (model L). Reference models: F (7 m, 2 axles, 2,160 kg), L (7.8 m, 3 axles, 2,860 kg).

8-meter boat trailer (length 8.4 m)

Catalog configurations with tandem and triple axles. Tandem axle up to 2,380 kg (model P) or 2,840 kg (model Q). Triple axle up to 2,700 kg (model T), 2,760 kg (model S) or 2,800 kg (model R). Recommended for open or semi-enclosed cabin motorboats and large RIBs. At this length, a B+E license is usually practically mandatory.

10-meter boat trailer and 12-meter boat trailers

Tandem axle configurations (model U, 2,780 kg) and triple axle (model V with 2,700 kg, model W with 2,635 kg). Maximum catalog length, suitable for large open-cabin motorboats and fishing boats. B+E license mandatory. Trailer width 2.55 m, within the legal limit without special permit.

Flex Roll multi-roller trailers

Self-adjusting roller system that cradles the hull and facilitates launching and retrieval without the need for fixed bunks. Suitable for boats with delicate hulls or when the usual operator loads alone. Available in configurations for lengths from 6 to 12 meters.

See Flex Roll multi-roller →

Trailers for inflatable boats

Low bed and soft bunks or rollers optimized for inflatable boats and RIBs. Compact single-axle models up to GVM 1,300-1,800 kg for 4-12 m boats, and reinforced models for large RIBs.

Trailers for jet skis

Short bed, common GVM between 750 and 1,300 kg, ideal for one or two jet skis. Configuration with approved lights, strap tie-down system, and low ramp for launching in shallow water.

Why these models compete in terms of value for money

Hot-dip galvanized

The entire product line is delivered fully hot-dip galvanized. Proven resistance in recurring nautical use with ramp launching, exposure to saltpeter, and journeys at high ambient temperatures.

Up to 100 kg less unladen weight for more boat under MMA

The declared unladen weight of the catalog models (400-800 kg depending on configuration) is up to 100 kg less than national equivalents with the same length and MMA. If the car + trailer + boat sum approaches 3,500 kg, those extra kilos provide leeway for a larger boat, a larger engine, or gear without needing a B+E license.

Double and triple axles according to actual load

Out of 24 models, 11 are double-axle (2 axles at 1,350-1,800 kg) and 8 are triple-axle (3 axles at 1,500-1,800 kg) for heavy boats. The load per axle on a triple axle (typically 1,800 kg) offers better braking stability, less tire wear, and less bounce on the highway.

3 mm steel versus standard 1.5 mm

Chassis with 50% more material at the points of highest stress. Vital in 8-10 m trailers with a boat at MMA, where torsion on an uneven ramp or pitching on the highway particularly stresses the main beams.

Price between 15% and 50% below equivalents

For reference: model W (10 m, 3 axles, 2,635 kg payload) sells from €7,230 + VAT. Comparable models from leading brands in the Spanish market start from €8,500-€10,000 + VAT with the same length and configuration. The entire catalog operates with this difference thanks to the brand's European economies of scale (more than 2,500 units/year).

Quick Decision Guide

1. How much does your ready-to-use boat weigh? Add to the manufacturer's dry weight: engine (50-200 kg), full tank (50-150 kg), battery, anchor, gear. Oversize the trailer's GVWR by 10-15% of that actual weight.

2. Can your car tow it? Check the technical sheet F.2 (car's GVWR) and O.1 (maximum towable mass with brakes). If the sum exceeds 3,500 kg, you need B96 or B+E.

3. Double or triple axle? Double axle up to GVWR 2,500-3,000 kg and boats 6-8 m. Triple axle from GVWR 3,500 kg or length 8.5+ m, especially with boats loaded to 90%.

4. Bunks or multi-roller? Bunks for RIBs and planing boats with two operators. Flex Roll multi-roller if you're launching alone or have a delicate hull (the /remolques-para-barco-multirodillo-flex-roll subcategory covers that configuration).

5. Boat width vs. trailer width? Boat beam should not exceed the useful width of the bed (225 or 255 cm in the catalog). Check before finalizing the configuration.

Boat trailer FAQ

What trailer do I need for a 7-meter boat?

For a 7-meter boat with a real weight of 1,500-2,500 kg, the typical catalog models are F (7 m, 2 axles, 2,160 kg payload), G (7 m, 2 axles, 2,420 kg) or H (7 m, 2 axles, 2,920 kg). Configurable GVWR up to 3,500 kg. For 7.8 m with a heavier or loaded boat, models L or M with triple axle. B+E license recommended from combined GVWR >3,500 kg.

What is the price of a boat trailer?

Catalog prices range from €3,550 + VAT (model E, 7 m, 1 axle, 1,335 kg payload) to €7,230 + VAT (model W, 10 m, 3 axles, 2,635 kg). The price includes European homologation and registration. Ask for a no-obligation, fixed quote.

Is it homologated and registered for Spain?

Yes. All trailers are delivered with EU homologation and registration ready to drive. Only the circulation registration remains, which we also help you process.

What license do I need for a boat trailer?

It depends on the combined GVWR (car + trailer). Up to 3,500 kg with B license without additional procedures. Between 3,500 and 4,250 kg with B96. More than 4,250 kg or trailers with their own GVWR >3,500 kg require B+E. For most 7-8 m boats at actual GVWR, B+E is recommended.

Double or triple axle?

Double axle: up to combined GVWR 2,500-3,000 kg and 6-8 m boats. Triple axle: from GVWR 3,500 kg or lengths of 8.5 m+. The triple axle provides braking stability and reduces tire wear on highways with a loaded boat.

Does the trailer come with bunks or rollers?

Most D-W models come with rollers or upholstered longitudinal bunks, optimal for planing boats and RIBs. If you need a Flex Roll multi-roller for solo launching or a delicate hull, the 'Flex Roll Multi-Roller Boat Trailers' subcategory covers that configuration.

How long does it take to receive?

Usual delivery time is 7 to 15 business days. Delivery to any point in peninsular Spain.

What warranty covers recurring use in salt water?

2 years against manufacturing defects, covering galvanized chassis, suspension, braking system, and original components. Covers recurring nautical use with ramp launching.

Is there a discount for a nautical fleet (rental, sailing schools, charter)?

Yes. For nautical companies with orders of 3+ units, there are special conditions that Arnaud proposes on a case-by-case basis.
