Every configuration is available with a single axle (gross weight 750-1,350 kg) or tandem axles (gross weight 2,000-3,500 kg).
Why it weighs less
For a boat between 5.5 and 6.5 metres, the weight of the trailer determines how much real capacity is left for boat, engine and equipment. The standard 3,500 kg gross weight of the car sets the ceiling. Every kilo of trailer takes away usable capacity.
Our 6-metre trailer has a tare weight of 570 kg. Equivalent models on the European market sit between 650 and 900 kg, depending on the manufacturer. The difference frees up 80 to 330 kg for hull, outboard engine, fuel tank and equipment on board.
The structure combines a hot-dip galvanised steel chassis with sections 3 mm thick. The usual manufacturing standard works with 1.5 mm. Double the wall thickness means more torsional strength and better behaviour under asymmetric loads. Hot-dip galvanising creates a thick zinc layer that resists salt, essential near coastal areas.
Which licence you need
The choice depends on the gross weight of the trailer and on the total weight of the vehicle plus loaded trailer.
- Category B licence: valid if the trailer's gross weight is 750 kg (combination up to 4,250 kg). Also valid if the gross weight is higher but the combination stays below 3,500 kg.
- B96 licence: required if the trailer's gross weight exceeds 750 kg and the combination falls between 3,500 and 4,250 kg. It is obtained with two practical tests and no theory test.
- Category BE licence: mandatory if the combination exceeds 4,250 kg, up to a maximum of 7,000 kg.
How to choose the support
Four questions settle the choice:
- What is the keel like? Deep V → Flex Roll Multi-Roller. Flat or semi-flat → Bunk. Shallow keel → sailboat model.
- Hull material? Fibreglass or aluminium: any configuration. Inflatable PVC: Bunk is mandatory to avoid marking the tube.
- How do you launch the boat? Gently sloping slipway → the Flex Roll Multi-Roller allows launching by gravity. Steep slipway → the Bunk works well.
- Do you want to adjust the position? Multi-roller and combined models let you set roller height and position. The Bunk is adjusted once on installation.

How much does the trailer weigh without the boat?
570 kg tare weight. The European market standard sits between 650 and 900 kg.
Is it for sailboats or motorboats only?
Both. We have a dedicated sailboat configuration with support under the hull and a keel stop. Tell us the keel type (fin, cruciform, bulb) and we will recommend the model.
Is it submersible? How does launching work?
It is semi-submersible. The rear lights are removable to keep the wheel bearings out of salt water. It allows launching and recovery on the slipway without driving the car into the water.
Does it need a roadworthiness test?
Every trailer with a gross weight above 750 kg requires an annual roadworthiness test from the second year onwards. It carries a registered number plate with the owner's details.
Multi-roller or Bunk for my hull?
Deep V keel: Flex Roll Multi-Roller. Flat or semi-flat hull: Bunk. Mixed hull: combined. If in doubt, send us a photo of the hull and we will confirm it.
Does it work for a RIB?
Yes, with the Bunk configuration. The padded supports prevent marks on the tube.
How long does delivery take?
